Streetwear Highlight: Gotobed Clothing/Uptown Takeout

For today's post I'd like to give a highlight to a brand/location that I've recently begun to work with!

Based in Sacramento at 2306 Oxford St., Uptown Takeout is a really dope combination venue that is a restaurant, performance venue, AND a print shop. In addition to this, their brand "GoToBed" has two storefronts in the area as well that sells their CBD products and clothing.

First off: The food.

Uptown Takeout specializes in BBQ style food such as ribs, tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches, burgers, and milkshakes. (All of which are delicious). My personal recommendation is the 4 piece Rib dinner they offer for about $12 or the 5 taco platter for $10. Their chef has years of experience running BBQ restaurants and that really shows through the quality of their food, despite the killer prices. If you're fan of BBQ, their fall-off-the-bone ribs will definitely be hitting for you.

Next up: The clothing and print shop

Uptown Takeout Merch Display

Uptown Takeout has their own line of merch under the GoToBed moniker and they often do a lot of collaboration work with other local brands, one of their main partners being the "addicts" brand.
Their merch is solid quality and the hoodies are mad comfortable, but what I really want to focus on is the print shop they make the merch in. Uptown Takeout's main goals are to create a community space that supports local and independent artists. Ever since I've started doing work with them and getting to know the company, they have been nothing but helpful and supportive.

With that being said, I'm pleased to announce that I will be running this upcoming Merch release through their print shop! We'll be doing a 40 shirt reprint of our "Lucky Cat" design and the new "Hanya" design as well. If you're interested in reserving yours, leave a comment or contact me through my Instagram (@yenwon_sf) or my email: yenwonsf@gmail.com.

Finally: The Venue

In the back of the restaurant, Uptown Takeout has a courtyard in which community events and live performances are held once a week on Fridays! I recently attended their women's empowerment event sponsored by Buddy Buddy Indoor Natural and it's nothing but friendly folks, great food, music, and good vibes. If you're ever around Sac, do yourself a favor and stop by for a bite! Just make sure to tell em Yen sent ya!
